Located just 8 miles from Stratton Mountain Base lodge, 4 1/2 miles from Bromley Mountain and 16 miles from Magic Mountain, this 9 1/2 room, 3 bathroom chalet is a great ski, fall or summer vacation spot. With six bedrooms, 2 kitchens a living room with a fireplace and a recreation room with a full size ping-pong table, this chalet can accommodate up to 12 people.
From exit 47 (Enfield) off 1-91 to the chalet is just a 2 hour and 17 minutes drive (107 miles). Once in Vermont you will travel along picturesque Route 30 going through lovely New England towns such as Newfane and Townsend. For the non-skier or for a day off from the slopes you may wish to visit Manchester, Vermont just 10 miles from the chalet. Shoppers will find the Dexter Shoe factory store and the Jelly Mill two interesting stops. Some of the finest dining in New England is all around you. Particular high points are the Newfane Inn in Newfane Center, 25 miles south on Route 30 or the Three Clock Inn 10 miles away in South Londonderry. There are at least 10 other restaurants well worth trying.
For the sightseer, almost any Vermont road offers interesting things to see and visit. A 15 mile trip north on Route 100 will bring you to Weston where you may want to visit a Vermont Country Store, the Weston Priory, or the Weston Bowl Mill. A 25 mile trip along Route 11 will take you to Chester, Vermont which is a beautiful Vermont town well worth the drive. For fall foliage viewing this chalet is located on the recommended southern foliage route.
