Arrival & Departure Instructions

VERMONT HOUSE INSTRUCTIONS

ARRIVAL:
1. Turn on circuit breakers. (Panel box located on lowest level behind panel near door going outside.)
Water heater separate to left
Range 1&3
Pump 2&4
Washing Machine & Dryer 13, 15 & 17
2. Turn up thermostats in rooms you will be using to 65 – 70 and later adjust to comfort level.
3. Put garbage on front deck in plastic bags, garbage pickup is done on Mondays or Tuesdays.
DEPARTURE:
1. Wash, dry, and return all sheets & towels to original location.
2. Turn WATER PUMP and HOT WATER breakers to OFF position.
3. Turn all thermostats to 40-45. (Most have red & blue dots – turn setting to blue dot)
4. Be sure all water faucets and lights are OFF
5. Be sure stove is OFF. Close fireplace flu unless coals are still hot. (FLU IS CLOSED WHEN THE CHAIN DOWN). If flu is left open, please leave note for CARETAKER to close it when he gets the garbage.
6. All appliances and dishes should be put away.
7. All doors should be closed and locked.

There is no firewood at the chalet. If you want a fire you will need to bring firewood or buy it locally. Locally, Vernon Jenks sells and delivers firewood in small amounts. His number is (802) 297-3658. Call him for prices before you leave for Vermont. Please plan to order several days in advance of your arrival.
